Other facilities have residents. We have guests. That reflects the level of service we are committed to providing every single day.

3. The Wealshire Center of Excellence is rooted in 3 generations of long-term care. Many skilled care facilities seem to change ownership every few years with changing staff and new rules, costs, and protocols. The tradition of long-term care excellence was established in the 1920s, handed down to the next generation, and now operated by a third-generation owner. Having cared for literally thousands of guests over the decades, we understand exactly what families want for their loved ones.

Inside and out, our guests benefit from a beautiful building set on a gorgeous 20-acre campus. Interiors are luxuriously appointed with upscale finishes throughout. The homestyle rooms are arranged into hubs with dedicated spaces for socializing and activities. There is a therapy pool, hot tub, library, ice cream parlor, interfaith chapel, beauty salon, and even rooms to facilitate couples. Activities are extensive: music therapy, art therapy, laugh groups, pet therapy, and movies are all offered daily.

Outside, there is extensive landscaping, secure walking paths, benches, sun patios with barbeques, and plenty of convenient visitor parking.

Different levels of care are offered in each building. The single-story floor plan is the home of a state-of-the-art nursing care facility with capabilities for advanced medical needs.

The two-story building is one of Chicago's few options for sheltered care. Sheltered care refers to a specialized type of living arrangement designed to provide a supportive and safe environment for individuals who require some assistance with daily activities, yet do not require the comprehensive medical care found in nursing homes or hospitals. The goal of sheltered care is to offer a comfortable and secure environment where individuals can maintain their independence while receiving the help they need to lead fulfilling lives.
